They are invertebrate animals that belong to the mollusk family and are very intelligent. There are more than 700 identified species and a very characteristic feature of this animal are the tentacles on its head. The best known cephalopods are octopus, cuttlefish, squid (California squid, Patagonian squid, Boston squid, European squid).

Octopuses and cuttlefish have between 8 and 10 tentacles with a series of suction cups with which they can grab their prey, rocks, or defend themselves against possible predators. There is another species called nautilus, which can have up to 90 tentacles that do not have suction cups. Nautiluses are primitive cephalopods that look similar to the species that inhabited the oceans millions of years ago.
